Planning Section

The Planning Section deals with the Planning and Development of New Ross Town. The Council is obliged to make a Development Plan and review the plan at least every six years. The plan consists of a written statement and a series of maps.

The Development Plan sets out the Councils’ policies and objectives for the proper planning and sustainable development of the New Ross Town and Environs area for the period 2011 to 2017. The Plan seeks to develop and improve in a sustainable manner the social, economic, cultural and environmental assets of the town and environs.

The Planning Section in New Ross Town Council deals with the various services which come under the "Planning Umbrella", such as Planning and Building Control, Pre-Planning, Planning Appeals, Planning Register, Derelict Site Register and Enforcement Register.
